This is an ingenious ad campaign carried by the Red Cross. The company places two-sided billboards along the streets of San Francisco that outline against the background, depicting a relastic image of the city after an earthquake.

The campaign was developed by Publicis & Hal Riney.

The Uno, a motorbike created by 18 year-old Canadian Ben Gulak, is sure to turn heads. It appears to be riding on one wheel but actually balances on two wheels that lay side-by-side underneath the seat, while the rider steadies his/herself using footpegs in the rear.

Yeah, believe it, it’s exactly what the title says. Can’t say that it is that arousing since the orator (no pun intended) sounds about as exciting as a high school chemistry teacher reciting the table of elements. But I guess everyone needs to get their’s somehow.

These ads by Spanish Ad Agency Shackelton are eerily appealing. The only thing I’d be scared of is the consumer who was swayed to purchase the advertised knives and and toaster by thought of using the kitchenware for purposes as displayed in the advertisments.

Zaha Hadid Architects won an international competition to design the Guggenheim Heritage Museum in Vilnius, Lithuania with this Start trek-phaserisque design. It is purposely made to look like it is hovering above the ground and stretches horizontally in comparison to the surrounding vertical buildings, in order to give the museum a futuristic look. The museum will include art from the NYC Guggenheim and the State Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg.

But Japanese startup Pileus has found a way to turn a traditionally mundane fashion item into “wow”-inspiring digital toy through its Pileus Internet Umbrella.

When it opened in April 2007, The Santa Monica Civic Center parking garage became the first parking facility ever to become certified by LEED, a national program that develops standards for environmentaly sustainable construction.

The 6 story, 882 space gargage cost an estimated $29 million to build. It includes natural and florescent lighting, electricity-generating solar panels, and system to treat storm and runoff water to preserves natural resources, conserve energy, and reduce waste. The 290,000 square foot structure consists mainly of recycled concrete, glass, and steel.
