Uno Unicycle Motorbike

The Uno, a motorbike created by 18 year-old Canadian Ben Gulak, is sure to turn heads. It appears to be riding on one wheel but actually balances on two wheels that lay side-by-side underneath the seat, while the rider steadies his/herself using footpegs in the rear.

There is only one switch on the bike, which turns the power on or off. Everything else is accomplished by leaning. The rider can shift move his/her weight forward to accelerate and lean backwards to slow down or go the other direction.

At 120 pounds, the bike would likel guzzle less gas than its full-size counterparts if petroleum were its only source of fuel. But as an added bonus, the bike is electric-powered. And beyond its eco-appeal and unique design, the Uno will likely draw attention for its style.

It would be neat to see one of these bikes in action, but I can’t even imagine the kind of insurance coverage that would be required to ride one of these things legally.
